The successful candidate will be an experienced individual and Test lead or Manager who acts as ‘gate-keeper’ to ensure quality of delivery to clients and being responsible for testing across small to large client projects.
The role involves hands on running of the test team, from managing, to being the lead tester including test preparation to execution, ensuring product and quality control is up to standard.
Key duties are hands on coordination and execution of all testing activities during every stage of the test process, as well as coordination with department heads on testing projects and strategies. Authoritative guidance and advice to the test team is an important aspect of the job, as is advising on the practicality of the project. Skills required by employers include the ability to coordinate teams, multitasking, Test preparation, execution, leadership and communication as well as presentation skills.
You will act as the Testing SME for the business and role model and coach to the test team, leads from the front in a hands on role including managing, planning, preparation and execution. It’s a customer focused post and being results oriented and solution minded is crucial.
You will enjoy working closely with developers, analysts and clients in a highly collaborative environment and will have a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Your previous experience will include working across the full testing lifecycle, including coordinating testing with external suppliers and coordinating UAT phases with business users – this includes non-functional testing.
Experience of using defect tracking tools (JIRA, Quality Centre, etc.) and defect management procedures and be a confident user of SQL.
Any working experience of using Oracle Web Centre, Oracle Service cloud, Oracle OBIEE products, or equivalent Information/content Management systems is highly desirable along with test automation and use of at least one tool (Selenium, QTP, etc.)
Experience of performing load and performance testing and at least one tool (e.g. Load Runner, jmeter, etc).
