Enterprise Architect. Big changes are happening across this Central Government Agency as they work to deliver digital services inside and outside the organisation. You'll understand the state of the current IT estate, and work with staff and customers to design and build a digital future.
We are moving services to cloud based platforms, using commodity platforms and using SMEs where relevant. We're redesigning our business as we do this.
You'll get to work with senior staff implementing business change, choosing, defining and implementing modern technologies in an organisation that has a positive effect on people's lives and the environment. The Enterprise Architecture team is formed of staff from several Government agency bodies within a wider Innovation, Strategy and Architecture team. We are working to build a modern, flexible Government department. Ambitious change is taking place.
Typically, you will align to a specific business area, and usually take the lead in another area as well – such as Data Architecture, CRM or SaaS.
This is a team of architects who do, not just talk, key experience/skills required will include a TOGAF certification or very real working experience. You will already have extensive experience in the IT industry and of IS design with practical experience of an industry standard enterprise architecture framework (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman Framework, UPDM framework that supports Dodaf, MoDAF and NAF and or Service-Orientated Modelling Framework (SOMF).
You'll have the ability to combine strategic thinking with pragmatism, focusing on delivering an enterprise architecture that can be used to realise benefit in a large and complex organisation. You'll also be excellent at influencing senior business and IT colleagues across the organisation and of working with Agile techniques, and implementation of SaaS based platforms would be advantageous.
This role will be based in London.
