Job Description

An experienced Data Manager is required to join and work as part of a national UK based IT team supporting the business’s IT data management requirements. You will be the senior ‘Go to Person’ in the company for all data related requirements.

You will be joining this exciting Japanese food manufacturing business. They provide and own some of Japans best known food brands as well as the European arm of the business owning some of the UK’s best known and loved food products.  

This role has three key responsibilities.

Analysis & Design

You will work with business users of all levels to understand current processes and define Business and Functional Requirements, you will design fit for purpose and innovate data models with the flexibility to change as business requirements change.

Development & Support

You will develop and Support BI Solutions using the Microsoft Stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and SQL) as well as designing and developing dashboards using tools such as Power BI and Power View or using tools such as SharePoint to publish data.  


Lastly you will have part responsibility for being the SQL DBA and therefore good working knowledge of MS SQL Server (08' 14' is desirable)

The ideal candidate will be an expert with the Full BI stack and complete appreciation of Data Warehousing.

Desirably but not essential, you will have an appreciation of ETL development and MDX querying

You will definitely have experience of building, configuring and troubleshooting data models and working in an environment data modelling over ERP.

Any experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX would be very desirable.
