Are you a Test Lead who has experience in Agile Software Development?
We are seeking a Senior Tester who can successfully work with the Software Development team who are producing quality code, you will act as the ‘gate-keeper’ to ensure the quality of delivery to the business and be responsible for testing all development across small to large projects and testing of their work.

You will be an experienced Test Lead (ISEB or ISTQB certified). The role involves hands on testing as well as you being responsible for test preparation to execution, ensuring product and quality control is up to standard.
Key duties will include hands on coordination and execution of all testing activities during every stage of the test process, as well as coordination with development manager on testing projects and strategies. Authoritative guidance and advice to the business is an important aspect of the job, as is advising on the practicality of the project.
Skills required include the ability to work in a team, multitasking, test preparation, execution, leadership and communication as well as presentation skills. We would expect you to work with a BA in gathering requirements, then creating the Acceptance Criteria to define the required tests, which you would then create to confirm the development was correct. Over time you will set and define the Test Strategy and Test Roadmap.
You will act as the Testing SME for the business, you will work with multiple stakeholders in a hands on role including managing, planning, preparation and execution. Being results oriented and solution minded is crucial.
You will enjoy working closely with developers, analysts and internal clients in a highly collaborative environment and will have a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle. Your previous experience will include working across the full testing lifecycle, including coordinating testing with external suppliers and coordinating UAT phases with business users – this includes non-functional testing.
Essentially you will have experience of test automation and will be familiar with at least one leading product (Selenium, QTP, Jenkins for deployment automation or for automated testing of Angular2 - Karma and Jasmine). Experience of using defect tracking tools such as Redmine, JIRA, Quality Centre, etc. and defect management procedures are desirable.
The main development language is Grails with Angular for the front end. We are not expecting you to write unit tests, although being able to run them would be very useful, we would however need you to be able to test at code level, APIs and GUI functionality, manually and to automate via tooling for continuous testing.
