Job Description

Quality Manager (processes, techniques, software)

Quality Manager (processes, techniques, software). This company provide the industry leading technology solutions to the hospitality sector and they work with the largest and most successful, pub, hotel and restaurant organisations in the UK and Europe.

In this newly formed role, The Quality Manager will carry the ultimate responsibility for the quality of all output delivered by the R&D department.

The role is a strategic leadership post focused on driving continuous improvement in R&D through defining, implementing and monitoring processes, techniques and technologies. The Quality Manager is also responsible for ensuring R&D products adhere to regulatory and industry objectives as defined by the company.

You will lead and direct the quality process and strategy – using your past experiences as a guide and be able to challenge what the company. You will of course be very familiar with the software development lifecycle and of working in with an Agile environment. It’s important to note that you won’t have any line management responsibility but you will be responsible for the overall “quality” of process/improvements within R&D so this is  most definitely a strategic role.

We see the ideal candidate as having circa 5/10 years’ experience of defining and managing software development lifecycle processes used by teams of circa 30/50 people. You will have proven experience of product design, analysis and implementation in complex, fast moving environments as well as having technical knowledge of current development best practices and principles (i.e. web and mobile)

Ideally you will have implemented automated and technical test strategies that incorporate repeatable load and performance based testing.

Essentially you will be experience in implementing processes and technologies that have demonstrably improved the quality of solutions, ideally within an agile and waterfall environment. We would expect the role top include a strong element of Project Management and therefore planning, risk and issue management will be key.

We have a very detailed job specification and will be happy to discuss your suitability and interest.
