Software Development Manager
Location - Northampton
Salary - £50k plus car and excellent package
A Software Development Manager is required for an employer of choice award winning company based in Northampton. My client is really does put serious time and effort into their employees. They recognise and reward staff achievements and support all personal and professional development.
As the successful Software Development Manager you will be responsible and accountable for coordinating resources and processes within our rapidly growing in-house software engineering team to deliver releases on time. You will be supporting our award-winning website and internal business applications, while participating in defining the strategy for product development and technology-based initiatives that deliver on supporting the businesses strategic objectives.
Some of the duties that will be required from you are working together with key stakeholders to execute projects ensuring that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction and resources to deliver tasks effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines
Collaborating with internal and third-party stakeholders to develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the business systems architecture and dependent infrastructure
You will have demonstrable leadership capabilities with internal stakeholders and senior management when deploying software upgrades, enhancements and bug fixes that are coordinated based on release schedules
Creating and maintaining a software development plan that will meet the future needs of the business and support ever evolving and changing consumer behaviours. Evolving the existing software system applications and architecture as required
As the successful candidate you will will have a successful track-record of delivery of software applications as an individual, team leader and/or development manager and ideally be proficient in Java including AngularJS with a good knowledge of its ecosystems. Goes with saying you will also have a solid understanding of object-orientated programming
You will be experienced in Agile Methodologies, building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications - writing well designed, testable, efficient code, preparing and production of product releases
