IT Desktop Support Engineer - Bedford - 25k + Benefits
IT Support Engineer is being sought for an immediate start in Bedford for this UK brand leader who are recognised for their innovation, investment in their people, and excellent customer service.
You will be joining a large IT department, but part of a small team of dedicated support engineers where you will play a key role in supporting the business with 1st/2nd line technical support of desktop and laptop computers, applications, and related technology and platforms. You will bring a first class support mentality and working across a variety of technologies and applications. Ideally you either possess some Sharepoint Online knowledge or be keen to receive full training in this area.
As the IT Support Engineer you will be responsible for Incident Management. To ensure that all incidents, whilst within the boundaries of the IT Distributed Services Team, are managed in accordance with the agreed Incident Management process, and to the relevant Service Level Agreements.
Key Skills & Experience
This is a technically oriented role, primarily providing 1st and 2nd line IT support services to the business and promoting best practice and encouraging use of new technology platforms. You must be able to understand customer requirements and correctly identify the service, urgency, impact and priority of that requirement
As the business adopt Cloud-based technology platforms such as Office 365 and more specifically the Sharepoint platform there may be opportunities to move in to a more specialised role.
