Infrastructure Support Manager is required to join this Bedford-based professional services company. This role plays a leading part in the support and maintenance of the organisations IT services and systems.
We are looking for someone with substantial experience of managing a team of individuals working on a variety of support and project tasks. You will need to be passionate about delivering on promises and the continual development of your team and being able to think on your feet and remain calm and focused under pressure.
We would expect you to have an excellent understanding of a very broad range of infrastructure and communications technology types, including but not limited to: -
- Telephony fixed line and mobile
- Server technology - particular Windows based
- Desktop technologies / end-user devices - especially those related to Windows
- Database technologies - especially MS SQL Server
- Cloud computing - ideally Azure
Additionally, you might have a broad range of "office" software technologies - especially Microsoft and technologies which can underpin and support it e.g. SCCM, Mimecast - IT Security best practice and its practical implementation
An understanding of the ITIL framework is highly desired
Some experience of managing a wide range of suppliers would be very beneficial. Typically, your management experience will have seen you managing teams of up to circa 20 people (however don’t let this deter you from applying if it’s less – we are looking for strong management skills and abilities above all else)
