Technical Infrastructure Manager - Gloucestershire - up to 60k
This West Country based Emergency Services organisation is seeking a Technical Infrastructure Manager to join the ICT Senior Management Team to support service delivery and to assist in the delivery of key projects.
The role will be based just off the M5. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be responsible for managing a large team delivering new technologies to support the organisation.
Reporting directly to the Head of ICT, you will be involved in both strategic and operational planning as well working as part of the team providing technical support to approximately 2000 end users. The role requires a broad knowledge of both infrastructure, networking and mobile technologies.
You will be expected to have excellent technical knowledge as well as being able to evidence strong leadership skills. They will be expected to be able to support team members in both day to day activities and identifying development opportunities for progression.
The role also requires experience and knowledge of ITIL Service Management and Prince 2 project management methodologies in order to understand and successfully manage change within the organisation and ICT.
You must be willing to undergo the relevant security vetting for this role.
You will have familiarity of a technical landscape similar to: One or more of Exchange, A.D., Images/Desktops, Antivirus, Storage/Backup, Server admin/install/support, Application Testing. Linux & Open Source Middleware (Apache, Tomcat & Oracle Applications Server).
As well as an awareness of specific constraints and threats of operating in a MoD, Defence, Government or Police IT environment – or similar.
