Head of IT (Digital Transformation) is required to join this highly recognisable branded company who are a leader in their field, they work with in excess of 1 million customer per year and have a huge UK workforce as well as being part of a global industry leader. This company are already part digitised however they are now at the early stages of their next generation digital transformation.
You will be leading and growing the IT Function and building a high performing team whilst delivering IT/Digital Solutions that enable the Business Strategy
The role has 5 key strands of responsibility – Planning, Financial Responsibility, Operational Responsibility, Stakeholder Management, Leadership and People Development.
You will work with the Business Analysts, Solution Leads and Business Functions and will be accountable for ensuring that the Project Managers are developing a series of prioritised projects & programmes to produce a coherent IT roadmap and portfolio with detailed business benefits. You will work with the Programme Managers to accurately estimate and forecast projects as well as being accountable for the management of the IT solution budgets.
You will define, implement and work within an architecture framework that is required to meet the goals of the business whilst operating effective IT solutions. In addition, you will be responsible for change management – Responsible for ensuring that all Change is managed in a way that protects the business from unforeseen outages and change issues. This includes risk assessments, contribution to planning, release schedules and the correct skills area available and resourced to manage the change.
Key to the success of this role, you will oversee the strategic level relationship with the Business making sure that there is clarity on demand and service expected from IT and received and lastly, you will promote sharing of best practice and encourage colleagues to share lessons learnt or ways of working across the this large organisation.
Essentially you will have either a foundation or ideally practitioner ITIL certification in Service Level Management and Financial Management. You will have significant experience of implementation of ‘off the shelf’ packages and business partnership and or demand management experience.
You will have roadmap development experience and be successful developing and implementing new work processes or process improvements as well as team leadership and line management of at least 6+ individuals and 2 years’ Service delivery and SLA management as well as 3rd party vendor management.
Ideally you will have solid understanding of current technologies, including the Oracle e-Business Suite applications as well as exposure to three-tier client/server development and working in a “digitally enabled” business. You will be experience in working with and influencing Senior Leadership
Desirably, you will have worked within on-shore, off-shore and near-shore development teams and have experience in designing and maintaining Cloud Based systems
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management as well as Business Case evaluation. You will have a strong customer focus and expertise in setting and managing customers’ expectations. Lastly, an ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding.
