Technical Lead (.NET / MS BI Stack)

Identifi have partnered with this Northampton based Financial Services organisation, who are the market leader in processing domestic cheques across the UK, they handle over 500 million cheques every year worth over 700 Billion.

They specialise in banking and financial services operations and work directly with Barclays, HSBC & Lloyds Banking Group.

You will be a highly experienced Lead Software Developer / Technical Lead with an excellent software development background, using Microsoft technologies.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Agile development team in a key leadership role working on their business systems. Leading a small team of talented developers you will be required to work alongside the solution architect to shape the future architecture and system functionality and enhancements.

This role reports into the Senior Software Development Manager, as the Technology Lead, you will be accountable for the development standards, practices and quality activities for:

  • Microsoft .Net
  • Microsoft SQL Server – DBA and SQL
  • MS SQL Server SSIS
  • MS SQL server SSRS

You will be responsible for ensuring all technical issues are resolved, appropriate standards are applied across projects and product sets, and that work is delivered to the required quality.

You will lead, mentor and coach your team ensuring you all adopt relevant technological and platform upgrades that support the development activities.

This role does require you to refine and build team objectives to ensure individual performance is managed in line with Performance Management guidelines, taking necessary actions to address shortfalls where appropriate.

You will lead the Application Development team, providing technical guidance, support, management and advice in relation to their assigned activities. You will allocate resources to project activities and actively contribute to the definition of KPIs for their area and creation of KPI reports to agreed schedule.

You will govern, develop and audit the development and programming standards across all active and relevant technologies and build processes to ensure that standards are adhered to and reported on.
