Senior Incident Response Manager

My client is a multinational defence technology company, they make the critical difference to their customers by providing unique approaches to problem solving within the defence, aerospace and cyber security related markets. 

Salary: £70k to £80k (DOE) with excellent package

Location: Required to work from Malvern site 1 or 2 days per week.

Flexibility: Opportunity to work remotely or from other company offices remainder of the week. Excellent work life balance.

The Cyber Security division is currently undertaking a major transformation to maintain the position as a market leading organisation by providing their clients with a world class Cyber security service. As they continue to invest in their people and infrastructure, the decision has been taken to create and establish a Cyber Incident Response capability as part of the divisions’ portfolio of cyber security services for external clients.

Working alongside industry experts, the successful candidate will take the lead in the creation, set up and implementation of the new capability, eventually leading the team post go live. This is a unique opportunity to shape the capability from day 1, taking charge of key decisions including the selection and implementation of technology, defining operational processes, defining governance requirements and overseeing all communications/marketing activities. You will also recruit and develop the necessary team with the required specialist skills to create a leading and sustainable capability.

The Ideal Candidate

My client are looking to appoint an experienced Cyber professional with previous experience within Incident Response and consultancy service.  Having worked at a leadership level, you will be able to use both your technical and operational experience to lead this implementation project, using cutting edge practices and methodologies that make a significant contribution to the digital resilience of our clients.

Required Experience

  • Experience leading Incident Response activities from start to finish, reporting and effectively communicating with stakeholders.
  • Experience responding to incidents across local, cloud and disparate environments.
  • Prior experience working on a variety of different Incidents from credit card fraud, ransomware, GDPR Breach etc
  • Leadership or managerial experience
  • CREST or SANS certification desirable
