Job Description

Joining this large Oxford based digital publication company as a Technology (Scrum Master) Delivery Manager.

You will facilitate agile project team(s), maintain the vision, and work alongside developers, you will still have an interest yourself in occasionally getting technical and be able to programme yourself.

Success will see you delivering against the business strategy through the delivery of projects, working with business stakeholders and optimising the execution/delivery of technology capabilities. Key accountabilities will see you being able to communicate the project vision and inspire the team to achieve results.

You will guide the team on using Agile/Scrum practices and values, and coach the team to increasing levels of maturity. This role will require mentoring and coaching skills, you will facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution whilst assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.

You will facilitate and standardise agile planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, release planning, demos and other Agile ceremonies as well as assisting the digital product owner(s) with product backlog management and prioritisation, and the development and maintenance of effective User Stories.

You will assist the Development Team with the effective use of planning, tracking and reporting tools such as Jira, Burndown charts and Kanban boards as well as instilling software development best practice, applying the core principles of XP, UP, and feature- and test- driven development and advocating technical excellence.

We would expect you to demonstrate some experience in Project Manager with recognisable skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.

You must have experience of applying Agile development methodologies within a large, global organisation with multiple geographic locations, experience working in PRINCE2 and Waterfall environments and a background in computer science and programming.
