An Infrastructure Architect is required to join the IT Strategy and Governance business area of this large Financial Services provider in Northamptonshire.
You will engage with clients, internal projects and the enterprise to understand business requirements, translate these into elegant, supportable and repeatable solutions which integrate with existing architectures and systems within the enterprise – ensuring the business can deliver effective services to their customers.
You will be required to assess change (both customer and internally driven) to understand the implications on the enterprise and design solutions to address the requirements that are cost effective, fit with strategies and policies and deliver sustainable services and where possible reduce complexity.
In doing so, you must be capable of providing clear thought leadership to the IT community, articulating the vision / concepts and technical aspects effectively and ensuring buy in from both business and IT community.
Essentially, you will have the ability to manage cross functional teams to achieve desired outcomes and will have excellent written & verbal communication skills. Particular expertise should be in Application architecture & design techniques and processes.
Ideally you will have some understanding of a financial services enterprise or ideally the e2e Clearing process and how technology underpins this.
Desirably, you will be TOGAF Certified or Foundation level and / or ITIL V3 foundation. You will have experience of implementing coding standards and software reuse and Microsoft development technologies and tools.
