Infrastructure and cloud specialist
This global company’s cloud adoption journey across the various business areas is growing and a number of live services now operate across a variety of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform. This is only the start of their cloud transformation journey. The purpose of this role is to support and influence the various business units who are based across EMEA and potentially wider by working with local in country IT teams, partners and suppliers, providing technical recommendations on solutions, designs and implementation.
The role may also provide technical hands on support for the current infrastructure at HQ in Surrey.
The main focus and responsibility for this role will be working as part of the Digital and IT team, assisting business units in various activities such as running workshops, demonstrating new technologies, making technical recommendations on proposals and solutions, assisting with security and governance tasks whilst applying and sharing best practices. The role will support business units with the cloud adoption journey by working and collaborating with IT teams, partners and suppliers to inspire and influence and ultimately support these business units transition from legacy systems into the Cloud by assisting with design solutions that provides agility, flexibility, performance and reliability all with the appropriate level of security.
The role may also from time to time support the Infrastructure team in Surrey. This may include being the key point of escalation for core systems and applications and collaborating with support partners. The role may also call upon supporting the development team resolving issues in production, test, & development environments and monitoring.
The company’s infrastructure and services operate on a hybrid of on premise and cloud technologies. Knowledge and experience in setting up, configuring and maintaining networks, servers, switches, firewalls, storage & Virtualization platforms are essential for this role. Firsthand experience and knowledge across Cloud technologies such as AWS & Azure is important.

Skills and Requirements
? Strong infrastructure support background at 3rd line support level.
? Knowledge and experience in setting up and configuring networks, servers, switches, firewalls, storage & Virtualization.
? Knowledge and experience in the following technologies VMware, Veeam, Cisco Firewalls, Windows and Linux, AWS, Azure and Google.
? Firsthand experience and knowledge across Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure and Google.
? Experience of Exchange, Office 365 and Google migrations.
? Excellent communication and strong customer engagement skills.
? Able to provide technical recommendations.
? Run technical workshops with business units.
? Able to travel to any business unit (domestic & international).
Salary – 50k plus 20% bonus (last two years, this has been paid at 100%)
You will travel and meet the various companies in many of the countries – more focus on Europe than the wider world. (We expect about 30% of your time will be outside of the country)
