EMEA Regional IT Manager with particular knowledge and experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX.
You will be joining this Global organisation who have a UK hub in Peterborough to lead, manage and deliver the European AX CC (Central and country) based business and IT staff, you will also support local IT Teams on non-AX activities. You will actively participate and contribute to the Global IT team’s evolution.
Within this role – you will have interaction with various core IT practices – UK&I, EMEA, Manufacturing, Central IT Shared Service, Global IT and IT Security.
Microsoft Dynamics AX is the main ERP used across this business in Europe and several associated European businesses who now operate on a single AX platform.
The last few rollout projects are being finalised and in parallel a program of continuous improvement projects to deepen AX usage is being defined.
As the EMEA Regional IT Manager, you will lead this team who are responsible for delivery of all IT components in project/ support initiatives. Working collaboratively with business teams to define, drive and deliver the Programme success.
In addition, you will supports non-AX IT activities in countries by bridging into the IT Shared Service team (SSC) who deliver Infrastructure and IT security services
Typically we would expect you to have around 10+ years of IT and business/industry work and at least 3+ years of leadership responsibility managing midsize to large teams and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
You must have AX Project and support experience and a detailed understanding of AX (2012 R3) functionality and technical setup and will be familiar with the Dynamics 365 offering, AX Planning modules with a strong understanding of integrating AX with related systems – Reporting (e.g. BI4), MES/ICS, WMS, etc. and Data (e.g. COA, Product Hierarchy, etc.)
It would be beneficial if you have been involved with vendor negotiation & mgmt., commercial acumen (dealing with Microsoft and AX 3rdParty partners).
We will be looking for an additional set of soft skills such as your leadership abilities, effective matrix management and team building and a high order of interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity. You will have excellent project management skills, with a demonstrable track record; exposure to structured project methodologies with an ability to analyse, understand and effectively communicate between business requirements and technical design and implementation.
Ideally you will have an appreciation of business application SDLC and Service delivery experience; ITIL qualified and working knowledge of platform and technologies supporting core AX application (e.g. CITRIX, RDP).
