Job Description

Business Analyst (Agile) is required by this globally leading Digital Publishing company based in Oxfordshire.

This company creates unique content and connectivity for customers all over the world. The business is currently going through a Digital Transformation Programme which includes the development and enhancement of new technology platforms for the their many products.

They are seeking a Business Analyst who is expert in identifying the real business need, working towards long-term solutions, with customer experience and business growth as the overarching drivers.

From analysing requirements, validation and further probing, to helping with UI design, to building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, you are essential to the success of this transformation. You will have extensive interaction with customers, senior stakeholders and management. You will be versatile and analytical in contributing to the development teams to deliver the right solutions.

As a strong Business Analyst – you will be familiar with business transformation, business readiness, stakeholder management, communications, workshops, capturing business requirements, developing user stories, process analysis, creating technical requirement documentation and process reviews ('as-is', 'to-be'.)

Critically, you will facilitate effective relationships between internal business units and teams and will facilitate the discussions to capture and document business requirements. This is an effective Agile environment and ideally you will have experience of User Stories – delivering and maintaining a prioritized backlog of user stories in JIRA (covering functional and non-functional requirements), through stakeholder workshops.

You will be a results driven self-starter who can utilise your own enthusiasm and intellectual energy to quickly engage and influence, you will be critical and analytical and be able to challenge the business stakeholders, sponsor, problem owner and users to define the real business problem behind the expressed “needs” to ensure that the solution team is solving the right problem, and not providing the right solution to the wrong problem.

Your IT skills should include a strong understanding of MS Products and knowledge of JIRA, Rally or similar Agile development tools. Desirable skills and knowledge but by no means essential - Publishing, Digital Platforms, Digital Transformation, SAP, AWS (Azure).

In return we offer: 25 days holiday per annum, a comprehensive benefits package and company pension scheme, based South of Oxford, very easy commute by road or train, joining one of the largest publishing groups in the world – this is a great role.
