Application Lifecycle Management Tools Lead

We are looking for an experienced Software Configuration Tools specialist to lead a small application/SCM support team based in Telford.


This role is required to provide leadership and management of a small expert support team, engaged in the delivery of a range of Configuration Management and Application Lifecycle Management Tools, both Commercially-sourced and bespoke developed.


Application Service Lead for a team providing daily support of live service. Owns and operates the function and acts as a key contact within the delivery management community


  • Impacting the cost of change to a service, both in cost and resource terms
  • Day to day people management
  • Escalation of service issues, including on-call
  • Delivery and workload management, including periodic management reporting
  • ITIL Service management Process definition, implementation and management within function, ensuring all appropriate processes are observed
  • Drive Lean and Agile working practice and culture within the function
  • Quality Management within function, ensuring appropriate quality control is undertaken
  • Proactive identification and management of risk
  • Service Improvement, including identification, development and ownership of investment cases
  • Technical tools leadership & strategy

Technical Skills

Mandatory technical skills

Administrator-level knowledge of at least one configuration management tool from the 'technologies involved' list. Administrator-level knowledge of Atlassian JIRA, Confluence and Bamboo
